Services
Comprehensive Exams
Thoughtful eye care requires much more than creating a glasses prescription. Our exams are always comprehensive, we will test for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together and evaluate the health of your retina, optic nerve and retinal blood vessels because early detection and prevention is at the forefront of our philosophy.
Anterior Segment
Examination of external structures include: eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea (all layers), anterior chamber, iris and lens, as well as adnexa.
Posterior Segment
Internal structures evaluation and imaging documentation include: macula, optic disc, posterior pole, fundus, peripheral fundus.
Retinoscopy
Using our advanced digital technology CLARIFYE, we obtain an objective measurement of the glasses prescription.
Medical Evaluations
Eye health can often provide an early warning for systemic disease, our training and experience, combined with our diagnostic and imaging equipment, enables us to identify, diagnose, and treat a wide-range of ophthalmic conditions offering comprehensive care that extends beyond the routine.
Diabetic Exams
Retinal evaluations and imaging documentation using the latest technology in order to evaluate and document the health of your eyes.
Eye Infections
Eye infections can cause redness, pain and inflammation, and can even lead to vision loss if not treated immediately.
Dry Eyes
Management could range from lifestyle suggestions and hygiene improvements to medical therapies and therapeutic agents.
Glaucoma Management
We perform glaucoma screenings on all our patients. Those who have a higher risk or a family history can be further evaluated at our practice.
Contact Lens Fitting
Dr. Toledo-Espiett specialize in the fitting of all types of soft contact lenses, as well as rigid gas permeables and hybrid contacts mostly considered to be "medically necessary".
Soft Contact Lenses
Include: Single vision, Toric and Multifocal.
Toric Contact Lenses
Soft lenses design and used in the management of astigmatism.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
Use in the correction for presbyopia; material could be soft or rigid gas permeable.
Medically Necessary Contact Lens
MNCL are not elective and are often the only treatment option that provides best corrected vision for patients with ocular conditions such as corneal ectasias or systemic conditions that cause severe dry eye, among others.
Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses
Include: Same types as soft lenses plus also all other designs used in the management of corneal degenerations like Keratoconus; also effective in correcting high prescriptions.
Scleral Lenses
Use in the management for advance corneal disorders and chronic ocular surface disease.
Sports Vision
About 89-90 million Americans participate or engage in some type of performance sports activity that can vary from individual to individual and from recreational to competitive. Our approach aims to help improve their vision health, performance and safety.
Identify
Patients who participate in physically demanding activities and want to improve their overall performance.
Prevention
Diagnose and educate about the most common sports injuries and their ocular manifestations; like CONCUSSIONS signs and symptoms.
Provide
Basic sports and performance vision services and counseling based on activity. Different sports require different visual skill sets.
Refer
To the appropriate specialists when needed (physical therapist or neurologist) for further management.
Emergencies
Emergencies/urgent eye care might not be common, but there are several situations that need to be dealt with as timely as possible. We have the training, experience, and knowledge to take care of most eye care emergencies. Patients can schedule an evaluation with us without delay.
Red Eyes
Red eye can arise as a manifestation of many different systemic and ophthalmological diseases.
Floaters
Floaters—or spots—are small, semi-transparent or cloudy particles within the vitreous.
Foreign Bodies
